Floating ip

hi , I using 3 nodes of openstack controller , compute and network and I just lunch instance and did associate floating ip and my instance have access to the Internet and everything seems great for now but I have question wondering that floating IP give us the ability to reach the instance from outside !! but when I did try to connect to the instance from other network it fail , a,d only I can ssh my instance from the network node by the name space "'ip netns exec qrouter .......... ssh -i key.pem ubuntu@192.168.203.134" just this is the only way I can ssh all the instance !! I am wondering if there is any thing I am messing around or did I do some mistakes !! please someone can help me to more understand how can floating ip work and help me ? thanks for any help
