Hi Everyone.

Probably a similar post like this was posted before, unfortunally could not find. First at all, i followes the offcial mitaka documentation from doc.openstack.org. The thing is that im using Centos 7 and Openstack Mitaka. I enable the options to use kvm but is not working. I uncomment the the following lines in /etc/nova/nova.conf:

compute_driver=libvirt.LibvirtDriver
virt_type=kvm

When im going to the dashboard, in the hypervisor section, it says im still using qemu

I also searched for kvm module

[root@controller1 ~]# lsmod | grep kvm
kvm_intel             162153  0
kvm                   525409  1 kvm_intel

[root@controller1 ~]# nova hypervisor-show  1  | grep type

| hypervisor_type           | QEMU

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Just restart openstack-nova-compute on node where virt_type has been set "kvm"

I already did and have the same result :(

Having same configuration as yours
On Controller

[root@overcloud-controller-0 ~]# nova hypervisor-show 4 | grep type
| hypervisor_type           | QEMU

Log into compute node :-

I update answer with `ps -ef | grep "qemu-kvm" to get qemu-kvm process displayed
It has accel=kvm
If you still cannot get my point, then I cannot help you.
