I would like to build LAB environment for OpenvSwitch. If I install 32 bit system on a Controller Node (old pc 32bit CPU) and 64bit systems on a Compute and Network node all openstack components will be compatible ?
All systems will be Ubuntu 14.04

Following docs: http://docs.openstack.org/mitaka/networking-guide/scenario-classic-ovs.html (http://docs.openstack.org/mitaka/netw...)

Hi, _compatibility_ Network<->Controller<->Compute should not be an issue in that aspect and fact that you will not target 32 bit for Compute make things easier.

Yeah, you will be using 32 bit packages and you might run into some 32-bit specific problems I might imagine. And yeah, RAM aspect: with Linux and PAE you shouldn't have all RAM available (that is up to 64 GB)

My controller 32bit have 1 GB RAM so its not problem. I would like to test only cirros images and network conectivity by OpenvSwitch. I hope that my environment will be good for that LAB.

Running a controller node with 1 GB of RAM sounds not-so-possible for me. Well, as bare minimum Nova and Glance in your case. You should probably forget about Swift, Cinder.
