Hi, I think you may be stored it in a admin.source rc script for authentication in terminal. Better u may use "bypassing authentication using token" to reset your password. For example:as a admin privileged user type the following command

openssl rand -hex 10

export OS_SERVICE_TOKEN=43beada85170163c97e1

export OS_SERVICE_ENDPOINT=http://controller:35357/v2.0

openstack user list

opensatck user delete <id of="" the="" admin="" user="">

Now you can recreate admin user assign role to it.. Hope you can solve the problem..

thanks, krishnaa

If you installed OpenStack using devstack (which seems likely from your previous questions), the administrator credentials are simply username admin and password admin. Using these you can log into the dashboard and edit any other users.

If this doesn't solve your problem, please update your question with some more details about your environment -- how did you install OpenStack? For what user are you trying to recover a password?
