Hello. I had installed RDO with an IP address 49.205.142.254. Now is it possible to change the IP address to something else and still have RDO work or do I have to un-install RDO and re-install it if the IP changes?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It is possible to make it work. You need to manually edit all the configuration files and put the IP address. You need to edit myqsl, keystone, glance, nova, neutron etc. If you have specified the hostname instead of IP address many things will seamless by just changing the /etc/hosts file.

Thank you very much for the reply! Could you please also guide me as to how should I install RDO that it takes hostname instead of ip address. Currently my /etc/hosts file only contains loopback address and localhost. I did give a hostname while installing CentOS.

Take look at the links below to add the IP to CentOS. You will need to put your particulars in. Also, what is the output of the command: ifconfig -a

Bill thanks for these links! I had removed my CentOS installation and am installing everything again. I need to know which OpenStack configuration files should be modified inorder to assign the new ip address that has been acquired by my computer in place of the one with which openstack was configured. Thanks again for these link, they are helpful to understand what I am working with!
