does live-migration copy the console.log file?

This question was asked before:, without conclusion (or rather a wrong conclusion).

When I live-migrate my instances, a zero-byte console.log file is created on the destination host, and the console log contents are not copied. Is that the expected behaviour?

If so, I wonder why the console log is not copied. It can't be that difficult. In my opinion, the console log can be useful or convenient even long after the instance was started successfully. Any insight?

I use block-migration on Mitaka.
