Can I force-delete an image?

This is on Mitaka.

I have a glance image that I can't delete. It is not protected, and I am admin.

$ glance image-delete 9d451c89-c9c2-472d-82e3-fcef98b39196
'500 Internal Server Error: The server has either erred or is incapable of performing the requested operation. (HTTP 500)': Unable to delete image '9d451c89-c9c2-472d-82e3-fcef98b39196'

The reason is clear: This image was created with Swift as Glance store. I later configured Ceph as the unique Glance store but forgot to delete the image first.

Is there a way to remove the image from Glance?

you can update on the glance db the status to deleted -> update images set status = 'deleted' where id = 'sdasdaasd-asdasdasd-adasdasd'

Thanks Amadeo, it will help. Of course I had hoped to find an API-based solution.
