Hello,

I have installed OpenStack Mitaka on two different nodes. I have created two external networks on both ex-br0 and ex-br1 interfaces.

I was not able to communicate between the instances hosted on different compute nodes when I use private ip. Instances can communicate if we use floating ip.

RDO Project docs says, "It can also be accessible from instances in other private networks via virtual router (L3 agent)."

I was wondering what I need to modify in virtual router.

Appreciate your help in advance.

Thanks, Gana,

did you connect the interfaces to the router?

Creating your router:

neutron router-create router1
neutron router-gateway-set ROUTER NETWORK
neutron router-interface-add ROUTER SUBNET

Ports: Create a port with specified IP address:

neutron port-create net1 --fixed-ip ip_address=192.168.x.y

should have the ports for all your attached networks

Yes, all the interfaces are connected to router. I think, port is something I missed, let me add the ports.
