Do I install openvswitch package for network node ?

I need to build network node , but I can not sure what I need to install openvswitch package .

I have research step by step install procedure form openstack official website , as a below , that had not showed what it is installed openvswitch package .

On RDO Mittaka by default packstack installs external OVS bridge , thus openvswitch gets installed.
However, on Ubuntu ( and CentOS 7.2) external Linux Bridge is recommended to use, thus openvswitch might be not needed. See http://docs.openstack.org/mitaka/netw...
I work always on RDO Openstack releases , so don't have hands on experience with Ubuntu deployments.
Finally, I believe that it depends on what kind of external bridging you intend to use. See also https://www.server-world.info/en/note...
