Has the issues been resolved in Newton to be able to set Keystone to V3?

Setting it in Mitaka has failed on established installs so, even updated ones, and I want to make sure before I test out the Day 3 install.

Commits ( 2 commits needed for fix ( See https://www.linux.com/blog/backport-u...) should be in Newton Delorean trunks been used on Day 3
Otherwise, it is just funny. I can hardly believe it. Check presence of updates from patches in files deployed on Day 3
Let me know are this patches present in trunks used on Test Day 3
END UPDATE
It was fixed on RDO Mitaka

hmmm my running Mitaka that I updated to current fails on Cinder when I set the answer file to V3. Maybe I fudged it somewhere and advise on exactly what to check?

Read provided links second time. You are missing both approaches for fix. Second one is officially recommended.

Centos 7 per the usual Openstack requirements run yum install yum install -y https://rdoproject.org/repos/openstac... (for the updated v3 fix) run yum install -y openstack-packstack packstack --gen-answer-file=answer.cfg CONFIG_KEYSTONE_API_VERSION=v3 install fails

Read my post@Linux.com. Rebuild mentioned packages ( version in meantime might be higher ) , but two cherry picked patches should be applied cleanly to corresponding tar balls. Then run twice rpmbuild for each src.rpm. cd /home/your_name/rpmbuild/RPMS/noarch and install all newly built rpms.
