COA exam - openstack version
Hello all,
Can someone tell what version of openstack is the current (Sept 2016) COA exam is based upon?
First time here? Check out the FAQ!
The current version is Mitaka
. You can check openstack releases here.
COA is a performance-based exam. The questions has nothing to do with the current openstack version. This exam is just supposed to test your baseline skills in openstack administration. To have a better idea about this exam please refer to here.
And why would a performance based exam, not require knowledge about which version the cloud environment is running? The behavior of the openstack and other CLI commands wont be identical in the different versions, as well as other differences. Just that the Coa-requirements mention domains....
COA exam is based on Liberty release.
I passed this exam. Lot of hands on practice is required using dashboard and commandline. Remember to attempt all the question as it is little difficult to complete all the questions in 2.5 hrs. But if you practice more you can complete all the tasks.
Best of Luck.
I think that exam version is based on liberty
I think the more important part is if you can utilize the new openstack client with the openstack command rather than the old module based commands. As a person who will be taking the exam next month that is what I would like to understand. If anyone knows please let us know.
Thanks Guys, I noticed that there are some differences in the command line between Mitaka and Liberty. I just wanted to make sure I am practicing on the right version.
