HEAT HOT parameter can be optional?

Hi all, I want the some HOT parameters be optional when I launch my stack. e.g. the IPV6 address. In my stack, some user need IPV6, but some need not. But I only provide one HOT file. So when the user need not IPV6, can he/she only fill the IPV4 address and leave the IPV6 parameter empty?

Thanks,

Hobby

Yes, if you provide a default value in the template then the parameter is optional (the user won't be required to provide a value).

it will meet problem, because I don't want to provide "default" ipv6 address to customer. I still don't find the way until now. I think I need to do more job in cloud-init in VM to handle this case. e.g. ignore useless default value

The default can be an empty string
