Hello Everyone, i'm going to use ceph cluster as back-end block and object storage, so is it recommended to configure the swift and cinder services and ceph admin in the controller node or isolate them in different node.

Not sure I got the question. If U want to use Cinder with Ceph backend - U need to configure Cinder itself (user/tenant/roles/etc). And then configure it to use Ceph as a volume backend.

Thank you for reply, what i meant is in which node these services should be configured, should i configure node for cinder & different node for swift.

It depends on capacity :) Check this for examples - But since U will have a dedicated Ceph cluster U can install cinder on controller-node and have another nodes for swift.

sorry but i'm little bit confused i read in some articles and blogs when using ceph cluster you dont need swift nodes, only install python-swiftclient in openstack side and create object-store and an end-point with radosgw.

U can have Glance configured to store image in ceph cluster or Cinder to provide volumes for vms from ceph. At the same times volumes' backups might be stored in regular Swift. If I got it U r interested in how to configure object storage with ceph backend ?
