Hello All,

We have an environment where 4 mount point set for shared storage. This is as follows

192.168.1.10:/vol_cin1
192.168.1.10:/vol_cin2
192.168.1.10:/vol_cin3
192.168.1.10:/vol_cin4

We have enabled the following filters in cinder.conf

scheduler_default_filters=AvailabilityZoneFilter,CapacityFilter,CapabilitiesFilter

Issue is, whenever i created a volume, it will be created in vol_cin1. Why not the scheduler choose the volumes randomly ? Deployment is based on MirantisOS8(Liberty). Volume backend is NetAPP FAS 8040 (Thin provisioning enabled).

Hi Bipin,

You need to follow the manual http://netapp.github.io/openstack-dep...

Create the extra specs and then you can use all of them depends on what type,(bronze, gold,...etc). There is a mechanism and the driver doesn't choose randomly.
