I am setting up an OpenStack Test environment that fits my organizations needs. I am mostly using the Official documentation (http://docs.openstack.org/juno/install-guide/install/apt-debian/content/keystone-verify.html (http://docs.openstack.org/juno/instal...))

While generating the admin user I noticed that the ID (not user or tenant ID) is much longer than the example. (see below)

Could this become an issue later down the line? How do I fix this?

Example in the documentation: 8963eb5ccd864769a894ec316ef8f7d4

The one I got: 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-hrm0FpEEhD5G4lKN7u5OkGn2wC5BGS0v3PJ8gzrUrqF1JGXu-WPaZBXN6SV6654TXaT1ozOM8MszYlP0bMpswmZPa+8DMIL40PPQdeE9waasrTJiUm+IZ3oc8nf-GEQuHKDE1XBkC+jx6-57jkcWtagRawEx3Q7vrhhOKhPLE18ZTvtF-VWiXFmMNjQDnCD6TkZqwOBnpfJRW8F2fZ1RwoUsTCiqamb8NojHZgsYoui+2D1aAf2v4wsH3WnlgeolNfa7EUI=

You are requesting a token i believe and also the documentation is referring the string id 8963eb5ccd864769a894ec316ef8f7d4 as the token.

This isn't the admin user id , the above long string you have pasted is actually the token generated as per the request. The guide also says - 2. As the admin tenant and user, request an authentication token which actually returns 8963eb5ccd864769a894ec316ef8f7d4Source - http://docs.openstack.org/juno/instal...

In other words, I shouldn't worry about it?
