Opendaylight, Neutron, & Kolla

asked 2016-06-28 12:29:43 -0500

I'm sure it is possible, but does anybody use the opendaylight controller, Neutron, and kolla within docker containers? I'm still configuring Kolla, but would like to know ahead of time how successful this has been.

Hi,

Kolla is creating a pluggable functionality to allow that: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/kolla/+spec/third-party-plugin-support

There is an OpenDaylight integration blueprint with Kolla: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/kolla/+spec/opendaylight-support

Once Third party blueprint is complete, we can integrate OpenDaylight through Kolla.

Anyway, you can enter into containers and configure OpenDaylight support or use the include_footer functionality to include files, packages or command at image building with: -i ./file-include

Another method is through plug-in functionality, currently only support Neutron images built by source code: http://docs.openstack.org/developer/kolla/image-building.html#plugin-functionality

If you finally integrate OpenDaylight with Kolla, every work will be appreciated.

Regards
