Hello All, Is it essential to have public range IP addresses to Deploy open stack Environment with Mirantis Fuel ??

I configured my public IP addresses as follow :

CIRD : 192.168.8.0/24 // Range : 192.168.8.2 --- 192.168.8.50 // Gateway : 192.168.8.1

Floating IP range : 192.168.8.100 ---- 192.168.8.200

But it doesn't work and fail to deploy Environment !

So , what is the best solution ???

Regards Albert

You do not need a non RFC-1918 address to deploy Fuel. You can use all Private networks.

The issue with your verify is that you have another DHCP server on the network. So 192.168.8.0/24 is probably served up by your DHCP server (could be your router/switch) which is causing a conflict.

For example, my setup has a network configuration of:

NETWORK NAME    IP NET
--------------  -------------
private         10.109.4.0/24
public          10.109.3.0/24
storage         10.109.2.0/24
management      10.109.1.0/24
admin           10.109.0.0/24
