Keystone/Swift with loopback in docker for production

(Openstack newbee warning :) )

I read that using Swift with a loopback device is an "anti pattern" for production deployments.

My use case: looking for a service that offers object storage with authentication for relatively small deployments. No need for high scalability or robust failover. Openstack is really tempting although it might be overkill.

Typically there will be multiple deployments of this type which can potentially be deployed on the same machine.

In that context, putting a single such deployment (keystone + swift) in one Docker is very tempting. In such setup loopback devices would be ideal.

So - what are the risks if I would be running such a loopback based setup in production?

Any guidance sincerely appreciated!
