I am having single node (controller+network+compute) openstack setup. I want to add another compute node to it for increasing the compute capability.

What installation method you followed? Manual, packstack, juju, fuel?

Just follow manual installation guide, only compute node, neutron and ceilometer parts related with compute nodes. The same procedure as the other nodes

If you want OpenStack Mitaka.

http://docs.openstack.org/mitaka/inst...

Or OpenStack Liberty.

You already installed all-in-one version. So you can installed nova-compute service.

You can do it.
