The Question is similar to what has been asked in this link https://ask.openstack.org/en/question/82635/nova-compute-libvirt-permission-denied/ (https://ask.openstack.org/en/question...)

My nova.conf is configured to create instances on the SAN but for some reason it is failing with Permission denied error message.

tail -f nova-compute.log

It seems like this can be possible through Cinder ... I will give it a try tomorrow https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Cinder-multi-backend (https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Cinde...)

Instead of using cinder, is there a way to have the instances created by nova in a different LVM?
