Different Hypervisor Instance Can't Ping

hi i have one controller node and two compute node.but one compute node instance cant ping to another compute node instance.

pls help how to solved the issue (my three Computer have proper network and each Computer is pinging)

You need to check your security group rule that you have assigned to your instances. If you have assigned the default security group then you have configure it to allow ICMP traffic. You can do that through Horizon, or by using the nova cli command (nova client)

nova --no-cache secgroup-add-rule default icmp -1 -1 0.0.0.0/0

Similaly to allow traffic on port 22 (SSH) you can run this command

nova --no-cache secgroup-add-rule default tcp 22 22 0.0.0.0/0

hi actually i have add in security group no issue in security group.and i can assign floating ip for both instance its accessible .(both are communicating) but internally access through private ip its not accessible

Compute node1 - instance1 - Pri N/W - 193.10.10.5 pub N/w - 192.168.56.180 Compute node2 - instance2 - Pri N/W - 193.10.10.20 pub N/w - 192.168.56.181.

I can ping 193 network its not accessible but its accessible in 192 network (192 network is a floating ip)

Why are you trying to ping it on private IP. What exactly are you trying to achieve?

hi i have two compute node and i able create instance on both nodes.but both node instance is not pinging. Compute node1 i have instance1,instance2 Compute node2 i have instance3,instance4 four instance in same Project instance1&2 is Pinging and Instance3&4 pinging but Instance 1&2 not ping 3&4

Suppose i can assign the floating ip for four instance i can access through floating ip but i want to access via private ip
