My steps:

  1. Go to https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Main_Page (https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Main_...)
  2. Press "Log in / create account ..."
  3. Readdress to http://login.launchpad.net where my account is, press "Yes, log me in"
  4. I am readdressed to the empty page and still not logged in.

Where am I wrong?

This seems to be a recurring problem. I have the same issue. I'm connecting using my launchpad credentials. is it an issue based on which network I'm connecting from. Like I'm using my company VPN to login from India. My corporate HQ are in US.

New account creation (which happens the first time you attempt to authenticate to wiki.openstack.org via the Launchpad SSO OpenID) was disabled on February 29, 2016 to help us combat a serious uptick in spam volume. We've been working on improving some of our spam mitigation in the wiki (there's a lot more still to come), and it's reached the point where we were able to safely reenable new account creation on July 20.

We have still disabled all new file uploads since our current captcha extension doesn't guard that function, but with that in place the remaining spammers which show up are few enough (a dozen or so a day) that our wiki admins are able to keep on top of blocking them and cleaning up their mess.
