I have below ceilometer services running but I am sure I am missing many other services. I tried installing those services but it said packages are already installed. There is nothing to do.

== Ceilometer services ==
openstack-ceilometer-api:               active
openstack-ceilometer-central:           active
openstack-ceilometer-compute:           active
openstack-ceilometer-collector:         active
openstack-ceilometer-notification:      active

I executed below command to install the modules but I get 'No package avail'

 yum install -y ceilometer-api ceilometer-collector ceilometer-agent-central ceilometer-agent-notification ceilometer-alarm-evaluator ceilometer-alarm-notifier python-ceilometerclient
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
 * base: ftp.iitm.ac.in
* extras: ftp.iitm.ac.in
* updates: ftp.iitm.ac.in
No package ceilometer-api available.
No package ceilometer-collector available.
No package ceilometer-agent-central available.
....

Also on running below command I am getting this kind of error

ceilometer meter-list
HTTPConnectionPool(host='192.168.80.136', port=8042): Max retries exceeded with url: / (Caused by NewConnectionError('<requests.packages.urllib3.connection.HTTPConnection object at 0x31ec350>: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 111] Connection refused

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi,

Ceilometer packages for RedHat/CentOS systems has OpenStack before package name and not agent in the middle: Eg: openstack-ceilometer-alarm

You can install those packages with:

yum install openstack-ceilometer-api openstack-ceilometer-collector openstack-ceilometer-central openstack-ceilometer-notification openstack-ceilometer-alarm  python-ceilometerclient

I can't find any package similar to ceilometer-alarm-notifier, probably that functionality is included in openstack-ceilometer-alarm or openstack-ceilometer-notification packages

I don't know which version are you using, check Mitaka guide or version related to your installation, always for you OS version. In this case i guess some from the RedHat family:

http://docs.openstack.org/mitaka/inst...

For the not working Ceilometer, please, paste another question with information to look into the issue.

Regards
