Glance backend Swift not showing container [closed]

Hi all,

I was just having a minor problem. I created a OpenStack environment with a Glance installation. The Glance backend was the file type. When I converted the backend from file to Swift it continued working. My only problem at this moment is that I can't test if the backend is in fact really working.

The glance image-list command shows the right stuff when using the glance image-create command. I expect to see the "glance" container in Swift, but it isn't there. In the glance-api.conf file I set the swift_store_create_container_on_put parameter to true.

Does anyone have a idea to fix this? Again, the Glance service is working fine, I just can't check if the Swift backend is used.

Thank you.

Found the solution. I had to set the Glance environment variables to view the Glance container in Swift.

Thank you.

Hi, can you share your glance-api.conf file? Which variable have you set?

You only can see the glance container in which project it created. For example, for kolla-ansible deployment the system service project is "service".
