Hello

I have openstack kilo and all services running fine, neutron net-list show the network, keystone user-list has all the users and proejcts, keystone endpoint-list have all the entries, glance image-list has the Cirros image and nova image-list show the images but when i spin up a image of Cirrros i get this error "ERROR (ClientException): The server has either erred or is incapable of performing the requested operation. (HTTP 500) (Request-ID: req-5bf1f982-db70-4ef6-a889-93d9d93293d9)"

does anyone have idea.

this one seems to be a bug with python package i found here . https://bugs.launchpad.net/glance/+bu...

i have downgraded python-request to < 2.8 and it works to spin a instance from image, however i hit another error where nova instance is showing error as below.

no luck after downgrading python-request package and also

I have applied pjb's suggested option but no luck, still facing instance launching issue.

increase the quota on ports in neutron.conf change value of quota_port by default it is set to 50. Check updated value of quota

Do you have any idea what this is ..From my end Neutron net-list and subnet-list all good and port of neutron IP can ping . I am using flat network, so all good but when i launch a small cirrors image i get this error.

Try setting this in your nova.conf file:

vif_plugging_is_fatal=true
vif_plugging_timeout=5

Restart all the services, try lauch VM again.
