Hello guys,

I have some trouble to confirm that Horizon and Heat are not supporting LBaaSv2 in Liberty.

I have found some information here and in the admin guide.

But in the networking guide, it is only said that LBaaSv1 is deprecated.

Someone can confirm this status ?

And LBaaSv2 is not supported in Horzion/Heat Liberty, will it be in Mitaka ?

Thanks in advance.

I can confirm that LBaaSv2 works in Liberty. However:

  • I was not able to get the dashboard to work correctly in Horizon.

  • LBaaSv2 resources are missing from Heat

LBaaSv2 resources are available in Heat from Mitaka on: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/heat...

Hi Guys,

*Lbaasv2 is supported in both Liberty and Mitaka but the default provider is set to HAProxy.(in RDO installation)

*lbaasv2 doesn't support GUI in both Mitaka and Liberty. You can patch Mitaka to have lbaasv2 GUI manually.

*lbaasv2 is supported in Heat in OpenStack Mitaka(6.0.0)

In Heat, you will see lbaasv2 resources named "OS::Neutron::LBaaS::" instead of lbaas "OS::Neutron::*" only once you set Neutron to work with lbaasv2 (in neutron.conf, neutron_lbaas.conf: provider and plugins)

These links are related to Magnum but following them, it seems that Heat supports LBaasv2 in Mitaka (https://blueprints.launchpad.net/heat/+spec/lbaasv2-suport (https://blueprints.launchpad.net/heat...))

Neutron doesn't support LBaasv2 in Mitaka.

LBaaSv2 is already supported in neutron Liberty (https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/ReleaseNotes/Liberty#New_Features_2 (https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Relea...)).

Any way you have second link. Subscription to RDO mailing list is free. Go ahead and speak directly to author via RDO message. Personally , I am quite happy with nova-docker driver on Mitaka.
