I need to know the possibility of getting the active tenants using the ceilometer meter.

To be more clear, We can use the meter "Instance" for getting the instance details, "volume" for getting the volume usage, "image" for getting image details.

Likewise, I need to know the possibility of getting the active tenants or just tenants using the ceilometer meter.

Some one help we with the details on the same.

@itsme - there is no meter for the amount of tenants. Some related meters are identity.project.(create|deleted|updated)

Anyway - U can always submit your custom meters with ceilometr sample-create * command

Nope, the only option is to create your own meter.

Here is list of current meters - http://docs.openstack.org/admin-guide...

Basically smth like this:

*ceilometer sample-create --resource-id custom-tenants --meter-name active.tenants --meter-type gauge --meter-unit Tenants --sample-volume <$SomeValue> *

Of course U have to wrap it in some script and run via cron.

For more details: ceilometer help sample-create
