I think its a problem with floating ips .. because when i assign an ip floating network to my vm it crashes.. What do you think?

Seems as problem between rabbitmq-server (Controller) and neutron ovs agent (Compute)
systemctl status rabbitmq-server

Check Neutron Server up and running && neutron agent-list.

It seems to run..When I want to launch an instance I got two subnets available: - admin_floating_net__subnet - admin_internal_net__subnet

No problem with internal networks (for communication between VMs) but problem with floating net (part of my public network)

Defining a Pool of Floating IP Addresses and try below command to reserve a floating IP address from the available blocks of public IP addresses.

neutron floatingip-create network_name

let me know the output.

nova service-list neutron agent-list
nova host-list
nova hypervisor-list

I think this error occurs during instance.save method when it tries to clean up allocated networks (when instance creation failed due to some reason)

yeah perhaps because i assign to the instance only on network (public network) it works properly

I had this error and went through several iterations of what should work. It kept reporting a 500 error, not enough valid hosts. After several hours of frustration I did the unimaginable and rebooted. Sadly it worked.

After the system boots I am able to deploy a stack with a new network and the instance comes up without the 500 code. I would put this in the bug realm, but I don't know how to reproduce it now that I have rebooted and it works.

I was testing on an: All-In-One, RDO Mitaka installed via packstack, running on Centos 7.

Ok..So I got :

  • DHCP agent : running on controller
  • Metadata agent : running on controller
  • L3 agent : running on controller
  • Open vSwitch agent : running on controller
  • Open vSwitch agent: running on compute node all got are alive :-) and admin_state_up= true

The thing is my instance can be launched if I only attach to it the Internal network but it doenst accept the floating network which is part of my private network which can access to the web
