Wondering if anyone has setup multi-node OpenStack on VMware Workstation? Is it even suppose to work ? I've set it up with in multinode configuration, but I cannot even ping my float ip interface on my test VM. Any ideas?

This is possible. You can follow the normal grizzly multinode setup instructions, the only change comes into picture is where libvirt_type(nova-compute.conf) , it has to be set as qemu not KVM.

Reference guide : https://github.com/mseknibilel/OpenStack-Grizzly-Install-Guide/blob/OVS_MultiNode/OpenStack_Grizzly_Install_Guide.rst (https://github.com/mseknibilel/OpenStack-Grizzly-Install-Guide/blob/OVSMultiNode/OpenStackGrizzlyInstallGuide.rst)

VMware workstation supports nested virtualization, so KVM is possible.

You should enable promiscuous mode for the NIC added to the VM in which you installed Openstack.
