unrecognized service manila-share

Hi Guys,

I am unable to locate manila-share on my share node after installing manila-commons. On the Controller node, services are nicely running, but manila service-list returned the following error: ERROR: Could not find Manila endpoint in catalog.

My OpenStack version is Liberty, and I built my OpenStack environment using the installation guide.

Is Manila available for Liberty? Or do I have to upgrade to Mitaka to get it working?

Thank you. JK

Have you created manila service and add endpoints to it? The error tells that an endpoint is not registered for manila or maybe have a typo in the name. Review that.

Hi Eduardo,

I have did openstack endpoint create for both type share and sharev2, and named manila and manilav2, as per openstack user guide for manila under mitaka release. http://docs.openstack.org/mitaka/inst...

I ran into the same exact issue with Mitaka release, appears no manila service gets installed on share node.
