I am trying to install openstack in oracle virtual machine on ubuntu 14.04 version.Everything went fine but in the end it says Unable to establish connection curl http://10.0.2.15:8776 Error on exit + ./stack.sh:exit_trap:L488 generate-subunit 1458546086 6222 fail + ./stack.sh:exit_trap:L489 [[ -z /opt/stack/logs ]] + ./stack.sh:exit_trap:L492 /home/aryan/devstack/tools/worlddump.py -d /opt/stack/logs World dumping... see /opt/stack/logs/worlddump-2016-03-21-093852.txt for details ./stack.sh:exit_trap:L498: exit 1

I have tried to update pip by sudo pip install -U os-testr. but every time i tried to install openstack, I am getting error similar to like these. I also tried to execute the curl http://10.0.2.15:8776 , and i am also receiving the response. But the error are holding me back. Any help ?

It's trying to tell you it can't connect to the cinder services and it is not running on port 8776. Is http://10.0.2.15:8776 where you expect to see cinder running? May want to look in the cinder logs.

Do the following : 1. Reinstall Ubuntu OS 2. Do a apt-get update 3. apt-get install git 4. git clone -b stable/kilo https://github.com/openstack-dev/devs... 5. Once devstack is there try to do a stack.sh from a non-root user

I have few suggestions for you. 1.Ubuntu should be in Minimal Installation 2.before the command (openstack-packstack) you need to stop the NetworkManager because Openstack need to access the network ports. 3.During the Installation of Ubuntu on the system. The storage shouldn't be automatically allotted. You need to specify the storage for the root, home, boot like (200gb,250gb,1gb).

I think this may help you guys.
