OpenStack on desktop versions

I am learning OpenStack and installing some packages on Ubuntu 15.10 desktop version. My question is like on this link https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam/CloudArchive (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam/Cl...) , they say " Canonical’s Ubuntu Cloud archive allows users the ability to install newer releases of OpenStack on an Ubuntu Server" . Can I install OpenStack on desktop operating system to build an openstack cloud application ? Thank you in advance

Its better to stick with the official documentation , If you are just a starter and want to see how openstack works , you can try devstack installation which works with ubuntu desktop .

Keeping that you are preferring gui as its available on desktop version as compared to server, You can follow the official documentation of openstack install on ubuntu server and after that you can have sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop

Openstack may work with desktop version which again would be adding up resource intensive as gui runs on desktop.

I think we need to provide an environment to deploy and install openstack. Source http://askubuntu.com/questions/459590/open-stack-installation-on-ubuntu-14-04/468134#468134 (http://askubuntu.com/questions/459590...)

@Mohit I am getting this error in end while installing openstack saying error on exit " ./stack.sh:exit_trap:L498: exit 1 " I checked stack.sh file it's about cleaning child process. I don't understand this part. Any help??

@Lokesh2016
Link I posted is not connected with devstack&&stack.sh. It does install openstack services on 15.10.
Requires you manually populate keystone,glance,nova,..... databases
