I am still a engineering student. I am interesting in using OpenStack and try to learn about the cloud with more clarity. On doing a little research I figured Trove is the Database-as-a-service on OpenStack, and I tried setting that up. That were a error. If that works then how do I give android integration. Or is there some other alternative ?

DaaS gives you a pre installed database of your choice. How you are normally connect Android app to a DB ? Use the same procedure, but add a floating IP to the DB.

But I am having trouble setting up Trove(DBaas) on my system. Once I set that up only then I can give connectivity right ? And I need you to tell me a little more about floating IP ? Is that the IP we use to reach the dashboard or something else? Is that the IP we need to enter in the Android code?
