Hey,

I am trying to create a template that will spin up an instance using a cinder volume, but within a resource group so I can specify how many I want. As a single instance, and volume it works, but adding the resource group it fails miserable.

This is the template - note: I've made it simplistic whilst trying to get to work, so some values are hard set for now;

   heat_template_version: 2013-05-23

resources:
  rg:
    type: OS::Heat::ResourceGroup
    properties:
      count: 1
      resource_def:
        type: https://mygitserver.com/user/raw/master/test.yaml

removed the linked but placed the content on gist

Is what I am doing possible? Any one had much luck before?

thanks

It's definitely possible, and I don't see anything obviously wrong with your template except that you have a mandatory parameter you're not passing a value for. You'll need to be a lot more specific about how it's actually failing for anyone to be able to help.
