I have tried Fedora 18, 19 and Cento os 6 over the past 2 weeks. I still can not get a clean install that works. Can anyone tell what I am doing wrong. I have tried the quick start as well as Sando's instructions. None have worked. All have errored out at different stages. At least with Sandro's steps I got the system to come up. However no instances would launch. They all errored out with no reason.

There are so many people reporting success installing and running RDO Havana. Can anyone PLEASE PLEASE help me to get a system running?

I have even tried to install Grizly, Same set of problems on all 3 systems ....

Maybe you can start with giving us the error messages you get on the console when packstack fails. There will be additional information about log files in one of those messages.

Do you have enough RAM to support the VM instances? That's a common issue and will result in the boot failing or not being attempted. In any case you should have some indication of boot failure in /var/log/nova/compute.log

Another issue you might be hitting is if you have ephemeral disks associated with the image you're booting there is an issue with a recent CVE fix that impacts that. To fix you could manually apply the change from: You would need to only edit the /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/nova/virt/libvirt/ file and restart the openstack-nova-compute service.

This fix will be released publicly later today anyway
