I installed Redhat OpenStack Platform 7 with 1 controller and 1 compute node.

nova.conf in compute node has 'compute_driver' set to libvirt driver.

I want to configure VCenter driver in addition to the libvirt driver in the same compute node.

Is this possible?

If not, is there a way to run 2 nova-compute services ( one with libvirt driver and the other with vcenter driver)?

Note: Cinder supports multi backend in the same cinder.conf file, so, I am looking for a similar solution for nova

Hi,

i don't really know if that works or not but it seems cool to try it. Here he uses nova-docker and libvirtd in the same host.

Take a look: http://blog.oddbit.com/2015/01/17/running-novalibvirt-and-novadocker-on-the-same-host/

Probably in a similar way you can add vmware driver.

Regards
