Hi All,

I want to try dev-stack on Amazon Cloud. After installation, can I take remote of virtual machine created in OpenStack using Amazon public IP or in any other way?

Did any one experiment with Amazon EC2?

Hi Ajitpals,

Do you mean that you want to remote to instances created by OpenStack which deployed on AWS EC2?

I think it is possible by using a virtual console. Try the following:

  1. At controller node, hit "nova get-vnc-console [your_instance] novnc" to obtain URL. For instance, http://[controller]:6080/vnc_auto.html?token=2f6dd985-f906-4bfc-b566-e87ce656375b
  2. Replace [controller] by AWS public IP of controller node.
  3. Open browser and check the URL at (2)

Good luck,

Many people have run devstack on EC2. I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean by "can I take remote of virtual machine...". Can you perhaps re-phrase your question?
