Setting up cinder on RHEL 6

Looking at several documents about setting up block storage, such as: http://docs.openstack.org/icehouse/install-guide/install/yum/content/cinder-node.html (Configure Block Storage). I have one host acting as the horizon/controller node and three compute nodes. On one of the compute nodes, host4, I have 2TB of storage I have created volume group cinder-volumes with. Looking at the docs, I have two questions:

  1. I'm not sure I quite follow what I am supposed to be filtering in lvm.conf. Does anyone have a pointer to another document that would be a little more clear, or can I just ignore this?
  2. The doc says to install openstack-cinder, but it doesn't specify on what host. Is it the host hosting the storage, or the horizon/controller host, or maybe both?

Thanks for any suggestions.
