Will FWaaS be continued in OpenStack?

I had heard rumors that FWaaS was being retired in OpenStack. There how ever seems to be blueprint information up to the Mitaka release. Security Groups currently does not allow for a DENY rule and FWaaS and that allows the capability to block certain flows at least at the tenant perimeter if need be. If FWaaS is being retired is there a plan for something to take its place? Thank you.

Hi,

I think FwaaS is not going to be retired, also, there is a blueprint about some enhancements for N release as you can see on this blueprint: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/neutron/+spec/fwaas-api-2.0

I can't find something more about FwaaS in launchpad nor wiki meetings about a discontinued FwaaS service https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Meetings/FWaaS

Regards
