I'm trying to install OpenStack on Ubuntu Server 14.04, following the Liberty release guide. Setup was fine installing the Identity service, and then I chose to install the dashboard. Dashboard installation didn't go as smooth - I got a 500 server error and had to change the LOCAL_PATH parameter in local_settings.py so that now LOCAL_PATH = '/tmp'. Dashboard now works and I want to proceed with adding a compute service. I'm trying to follow http://docs.openstack.org/liberty/install-guide-ubuntu/nova-controller-install.html (nova-controller-install), but when I try to create the nova user I get Discovering versions from the identity service failed ... and SSL exception ... [Errno 1] _ssl.c:510... unknown protocol

Looking in /var/log/apache2/keystone_access.log, /var/log/apache2/keystone.log, /var/log/keystone/keystone-manage.log, /var/log/keystone/keystone-wsgi-public.log and /var/log/keystone/keystone-wsgi-admin.log - I'm not even sure what to look for.

I'd post them all here but it's really complicated to extract from the x86 on which it's currently running on.

Not sure what the problem is, but it keeps me from advancing with installation - since all seems to source back to this (maybe it's a Keystone authentication problem, not sure)....

Ideas?
