Same old story. Creating an image from Glance to Cinder. 2 Volume Backends NFS - 6TB GlusterFS - 8TB

Plenty of space, yet error on create of no space left on device. Read a post that indicated that glance to cinder uses tmp and causes this issue. [https://bugs.launchpad.net/cinder/+bu...]

If this is true is there a workaround for this yet?

Answer:

Set this in the cinder.conf to a location with enough space.... Mounted NFS share to this for conversion and it works well.

image_conversion_dir = $state_path/conversion

was not the case. turns out i needed to point my conversion dir to something besides local disk. answer above is correct. after setting this and restarting, issue cleared up.
