Hello.

I want to ask about the huge resource consumption (especially RAM), I had installed for a lot of time RDO based OpenStack (Juno, Kilo on Fedora and now Liberty on CentOS 7) but before even starting instances I face the consumption of the totality of RAM.
Previous environment:
- RAM : 16 GB
- OS : Fedora 21
- RAM Usage : 10 GB
Current environment :
- RAM : 5 GB
- OS : CentOS 7
- RAM Usage : 4.85 GB + swaping.
I don't really know what is the problem. is it a configuration matter or thing like that ?
I need your help as i am doing an academic project using OpenStack.

Thank you .

There are quite a lot daemons running. My current setup with 11 (more or less small instances runing) takes about 17 Gigs of RAM. OpenStack is intended to scale across multiple machine over your data center.

Nevertheless, please provide more insight on your memory usage. top is your friend here, sorting by memory is invoked by hitting 'M'
