Error: Unable to retrieve volume limit information. [closed]

asked 2016-01-06 03:03:10 -0500

For some reason I am getting these errors in openstack liberty on centos7. Any Idea how to remediate would be nice. Everything else operates as expected. :

Error: Unable to retrieve volume limit information.

My question was answered in another post. Turns out my cinder.conf was missing the keystone_authtoken

[keystone_authtoken]
auth_uri = http://keystone_ip:5000
auth_url = http://keystone_ip:35357
auth_plugin = password
project_domain_id = default
user_domain_id = default
project_name = services
username = cinder
password = [ccinder password]

Add this to your cinder.conf under the keystone_auth [keystone_authtoken] auth_uri = http://keystone_ip:5000 auth_url = http://keystone_ip:35357 auth_plugin = password project_domain_id = default user_domain_id = default project_name = services username = cinder password = [cinder password]

Same error here after the installation of Liberty using packstack on Centos 7: Error: Unable to retrieve volume limit information.

Add on the cinder.conf file under [keystone_authtoken]

auth_uri = http://keystone_ip:5000 auth_url = http://keystone_ip:35357 auth_plugin = password project_domain_id = default user_domain_id = default project_name = services username = cinder password = [ccinder password]

But doesn't help to solve this issue.

Thanks for any help.

sometimes cinder cannot work out the keystone version from a plain auth_uri, try: auth_uri = http://keystone_ip:5000/v2.0 or auth_uri = http://keystone_ip:5000/v3 as appropriate for your keystone setup

its the db password for cinder. if you do not know it go into the mysql table of users and take the hash and crack that, should be easy enough to gather.

Can any one help on the issue as i had done the installation of Liberty using packstack and getting the issue and error as Error: Unable to retrieve volume limit information.

Also i tried adding the [keystone_authtoken] auth_uri = http://keystone_ip:5000 auth_url = http://keystone_ip:35357 auth_plugin = password project_domain_id = default user_domain_id = default project_name = services username = cinder password = [ccinder password]

Add this to your cinder.conf under the keystone_auth [keystone_authtoken] auth_uri = http://keystone_ip:5000 auth_url = http://keystone_ip:35357 auth_plugin = password project_domain_id = default user_domain_id = default project_name = services username = cinder password = [cinder password]
