CPU Overcommit Ratio Question

In Amazon EC2 most of its instance types are doing 1 vCPU per CPU thread

Each vCPU is a hyperthread of an Intel Xeon core for M4, M3, C4, C3, R3, HS1, G2, I2, and D2.

If I have to build an OpenStack environment, and would like to match those instance types, would that mean that I have to do a 1:1 cpu_overcommit_ratio?

Hi vblando~
The instance type is not relevant.
If your physical CPU support HT tech and it is enabled, OpenStack is as the same as EC2 in that 1 vCPU is a hyper-thread of a physical core.
