Hi I tried to install the OpenStack icehouse with CentOS 6.5. And I configured the controller node, network node and compute node. The installed the Keystone, Glance, Nova, Neutron and Horizon components. However in openstack dashboard I found the followed error message:

image description

I cannot allocate floating ip and not able to use console table to log in VM.

I checked the neutron service and nova service, it seems all work normally.

image description

And I found error message in /var/log/httpd:

image description

It seems it only shows the http request error but no hint to the reason why Neutron is not able to connect.

And in dashboard local settings I set DEBUG=True, but no error log and I did not find log file: openstack-dashboard-error.log in folder "horizon"

In the controller node : /var/log/neutron/server.log Neutron server has no error logs record:

image description

In the network node : /var/log/neutron/openvswitch-agent.log Still no error logs:

image description

And I found I can not ping VM instance ( from controller node, network node or compute node:

image description

And here is my controller ethernet settings:

image description

And here is my network ethernet settings:

And here is my compute ethernet settings:

I don't know whether it is my network configuration cause the Neutron down or some what reason.

Anyone might help me ?

Did you check the Neutron Server is up and running ?

I check the server state through the controller node.It seems running normally.

[root@controller0 httpd]# ps -ef | grep neutron*

root 1325 6297 0 18:43 pts/2 00:00:00 grep neutron*

neutron 2241 1 0 Dec17 ? 00:07:28 /usr/bin/python /usr/bin/neutron-server --config-fil

And the port is listening

[root@controller0 httpd]# netstat -lntp | grep 9696 tcp 0 0* LISTEN 2241/python

On the Network side:

[root@network0 neutron]# ps -ef | grep neutron*

root 3941 1 0 Dec17 ? 00:00:00 /usr/bin/python /usr/bin/neutron-ns-metadata-proxy --pid_file=/var/lib/neutron/external/pids/ --metadata_proxy_socket=/var/lib/neutron/metad
