From cli when i do keystone tenant-list, it doesn't work whereas openstack project list works. Basically, keystone client is deprecated. When i go to horizon, Identity->Projects , and i click on manage members, i get "unable to retrieve project details". Same for create project in horizon and Identity-> Users "unable to retrieve user list". I did look at the /var/log/apache2/error.log and found out that request is made through keystone client. What changes need to be done so that horizon uses openstack client for viewing users and projects?

I followed this link for installation: http://docs.openstack.org/liberty/ins...

Have you found any error on keystone --debug tenant-list , also /var/log/keystone-all.log

Make sure to put same admin token as in keystone.conf to admin-openrc.sh or keystone-rc.sh. Check the endpoints. I think the keystone is giving authorization failure errors. So make sure you use proper credentials everywhere including endpoints and admin name and service name.. check OS_TENANT_NAME also try with admin and service which ever you used while creation.
