Where is "localhost" coming from? [closed]

I've got an issue when I try to deploy a machine. For some reason, Nova seems to be trying to connect to Keystone at localhost:5000. I've got Keystone running on a separate server from Nova, so the connection gets refused.

I've grepped through the entire /etc directory and there are no Openstack config files referencing localhost:5000 and many that show keystonehostname:5000.

Any thoughts on where it could be getting "localhost" from?

It should be the issue with endpoints you have created. Double check all the configuration file, hosts file and endpoints you have created.

Keystone endpoint-list ---Command that will give you the endpoints... There it would be set to localhost... Set it accordingly... the agenda should be to give IP or if you want to give domain also set in the the hosts file of the system as well and manually try to ping the host via its host-name just to be sure

Thanks, Vinoth
