Rocks Cluster on Openstack

Hi all, we are trying to configure a Rocks Cluster on OpenStack.

We created an instance with the Rocks Cluster Front-End node and we are able to comunicate with other instances (the compute nodes) upon the same network. We did this only for testing.

However we need that the Frontend must be responsible to receive DHCP requests and assign IP addresses to the compute nodes. Even disabling DHCP when creating a subnet, instances acquire an IP address and this is a problem for us.

After this the compute nodes must be able to load Rocks images from the Front-End node through IPXE.

Is there a way to do this in OpenStack? If yes, which configurations do we need?

Thank you...

Up until OpenStack Liberty, DHCP service has been explicitly disallowed on VM network interfaces. The Neutron service released with Liberty will have a switch which allows DHCP.
