What i can suggest is we can try to debug in steps. Lets start with the following :-

  1. Open the console and run command ifconfig( it will give you an interface probably eth0), Check if it has an IP?

  2. If the instance has an IP then login to horizon and to Access & Security.

  3. There open security rules and see if there is an ICMP and SSH rule added.

  4. If not then add an SSH rule and also enable ICMP packet flow both Ingress & Egress.

IF you still face problems then let me know

Hi Prateek,

Thanks for answering. I couldn't open the console from the horizon. I have already added ICMP and SSH rules, but still no luck.

In the controller, do the following

neutron router-list (Pick ID of your router from the list)

ip netns exec qrouter-<your router namespace> ip a (From here you can see your FIP)

ip netns exec qrouter-<your router namespace> ping -c 3 FIP

Ok if everything is added then first try pinging the VM via its internal IP or Fixed IP from the network namespace. Command to use:- ip netns exec qdhcp-<internal-network-id> ping <vm_internal_ip>

If this works then we can move to router and public network as Bipin suggested
