Fuel 7.0 network verification failed

I am trying to deploy an OpenStack environment in my intranet with Mirantis OpenStack 7.0 Fuel.

I have three nodes and assigned "CONTROLLER","CINDER-VMWARE" and "BASE-OS" role to each node with Fuel UI's "Nodes" tab. Then, when I run "Verify Networks" on "Networks" tab, I see following error;

Verification failed.
These nodes: "1", "2", "6" failed to connect to some of these repositories: "http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/", "http://mirror.fuel-infra.org/mos-repos/ubuntu/7.0/" Repo availability verification using public network failed on following nodes Untitled (b4:42), Untitled (f0:b4), Untitled (52:57). Following repos are not available - http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/, http://mirror.fuel-infra.org/mos-repos/ubuntu/7.0/ . Check your public network settings and availability of the repositories from public network. Please examine nailgun and astute logs for additional details.

I am aware I need to use a proxy server so that my environment in intranet can access external repository server on Internet. I confirmed that I can access external repositories such as "http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/" (via a http proxy on my intranet) from public network (172.16.0.0/24) for my OpenStack environment.

As for http proxy, I configured it as follows at "Bootstrap Image"-"HTTP proxy" of Fuel setup.

http://<proxy user-id>:<password>@<proxy ip-address>:<proxy port>

(Each parameter such as user-id is verified to be valid and to work)

I appreciate it if I can get any hint/clue for resolving my above trouble.

Hello Maple Wong,

I am trying to install Fuel on virtualbox(Completely Local).I ran into same network.When I'm trying to run the fuel-createmirror --mos it throws me an error..Can you help.,,,,, Thanks in Advance.

[root@fuel ~]# fuel-createmirror --mos * INFO: Verifying connection to the Fuel backend * FATAL: Connect to Fuel backend failed. Please verify that Fuel services are up&running. If services are OK, please make sure you have specified the correct Fuel Master admin password Usage: fuel-createmirror [options]

Try `fuel-createmirror --help' for more options.

I have same situation as you to deploy Mirantis openstack in internal network with proxy to access internet, here is my way for your reference:

if you want to download repository from internet during deployment, you must ensure all deploying nodes have internet access which is obviously not suitable for your situation, so you should adopt local-mirror way which will download repository to fuel master in advance, all deploying nodes will fetch them from master during deployment.

1 set your proxy in /etc/fuel-createmirror/common.cfg and /etc/sysconfig/docker(docker need to pull ubuntu container for resolving dependency)

2 fuel-createmirror(this command will download necessary repository in fuel master and modify the repository settings in your current environment)

please refer to https://docs.mirantis.com/openstack/f... for detail
